Elskids: We still have the satellite until we get the hot spot nailed down. If we can't get consistant internet signal then it's back to the satellite until technology catches up a bit. Satellite works but is slow expecially now since we've had a taste of real speed. What do you have now Jackie? I know you 've had some problems with internet.

Jackie: Cell phone reception is apparently crappy here. You used to have satellite didn't you? no good?

Jackie: We don't have a cellphone, so don't know how good reception is here. Will get hubby to ask a neighbour. I'm getting real tired of not having a connection, and am looking for other options.....

Elskids: Jackie, do you get good cell reception? The Mobile Hotspot device gets the internet through cell phone towers.You do have to subscribe to whatever carrier you're buying the device from and you need to have a wireless card in your computer. It's been working pretty well, but we are gettiing a special antenna you plug into it hoping for more consistancy. We'll be your guinny pig if you want.

HarleysMom: how do you add the word update to the title of a post? I want to include the word updated on my title but I must be missing something - it shows when I type it but not when I send it...

Elskids: Fingers crossed for new mobile hotspot device. The 1st one wasn't consistant. But now we've had a taste of the honey, 4G. I think we will both go through serious internet withdrawals if this one doesn't work.

saltcreep: it doesn't take long at all to run , it will clear out your internet cache, temp files, etc.. Its a safe program to use.

Lukesmom: I have a VCleaner on my desktop, but I don't know what it is so I'm afraid to use it. Is a CCleaner something that will take a long time, so I should use it overnight, or something?

saltcreep: Lukesmom, good CCLEANER, it will clear off temp files, etc and free up some space for you. I have a couple of the WD MyBook Externals (Refurbished from Newegg) and love them
